Aegis Products

Privacy Policy

Aegis Products is the online store of NWI Fabrication (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what personal information we collect through aegisproducts.com.au, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. What we collect

We collect only what we need to quote, supply and deliver your order:

  • Contact and billing details — your name, company, email address, phone number, and billing and delivery addresses.
  • Order and quote information — the products you configure, dimensions and finishes you specify, quantities, delivery or pickup preferences, and your order history.
  • Account information — if you create an account, your login details. Passwords are stored only as a cryptographic hash; we cannot read them.
  • Correspondence — enquiries, quote requests and other messages you send us, and our replies.
  • Technical information — your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and server logs.

We do not collect sensitive information (such as health or financial account information) and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

2. Card details

Card payments are processed by PayWay, operated by Westpac Banking Corporation. Your card number is entered directly into a secure field hosted by Westpac. It does not pass through our website and we never see or store your card number. We receive only a confirmation of the payment and the last digits of the card.

3. How we collect it

Most information is collected directly from you — when you place an order, request a quote, create an account, or contact us by phone or email. Some technical information is collected automatically when you browse the site. If you are an account customer, we may also receive information from our credit and trading records.

4. Why we use it

  • to quote, manufacture, supply and deliver your order;
  • to take payment and manage accounts and credit terms;
  • to communicate with you about your order, including confirmations, drawings and delivery updates;
  • to provide support, handle returns and warranty claims, and respond to enquiries;
  • to run and secure the website and prevent fraud;
  • to meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations; and
  • with your consent, or where you are an existing customer, to send you marketing about our products.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it only to the service providers we need to run the business, and only for the purposes above:

  • Westpac Banking Corporation — payment processing through PayWay.
  • Freight carriers and transport brokers — your name, delivery address and contact number, so your goods can be delivered.
  • Microsoft — we use Microsoft 365 for email and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for our sales, customer and accounting records. Your order and contact details are transferred to Business Central.
  • Automattic — WooCommerce and Jetpack provide the store, security and site statistics.
  • Meta Platforms and Google — where our advertising and conversion-measurement integrations are enabled, limited information about purchases and site activity is shared to measure and target advertising.
  • Our web host and IT providers — for hosting, backup and support.
  • Professional advisers, insurers and debt recovery agents, and any person we are required or authorised by law to disclose to.

6. Overseas disclosure

Some of these providers — including Microsoft, Automattic, Meta and Google — store or process information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries in which they operate. Where we disclose your information to an overseas recipient we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

7. Marketing and how to opt out

We only send marketing where you have consented or where you are an existing customer and the message relates to products like those you have bought. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using it or by emailing us. We will action the request promptly. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about an order you have placed.

8. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use:

  • Essential cookies — to keep your cart, checkout and login session working. The site cannot function without these.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies — where enabled, to understand how the site is used and to measure advertising.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the store — including the cart and checkout — may then stop working.

9. How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection and hosted on servers in Australia. We restrict access to customer records to staff who need it, and we apply login protection and regular software updates. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.

10. How long we keep it

We keep order and financial records for at least seven years, as required by Australian tax law. Account information is kept while your account is active. When information is no longer needed and we are not required to keep it, we delete it or de-identify it.

11. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong or out of date. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period, and there is normally no charge. We may need to verify your identity first. If we refuse a request we will tell you why in writing.

12. Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page.
