The Horizontal Mounting Bracket is a one-piece steel cross-arm that slides over the top of an Aegis mounting pole and gives you a level 700 mm mounting face, running either side of the pole. Moving a device off the pole face gives cameras a wider field of view, keeps sensors clear of the pole, and lets signage and cabinets sit where they are needed rather than where the pole happens to be.
What it’s for
Use it to mount CCTV cubes, ANPR/LPR units, IR illuminators, directional signage, wireless heads, cabinets and display mounts on an automation or equipment pole. It is part of the Aegis pole system. Equipment bolts along the 700 mm face, and the 300×300mm mounting bracket can be used alongside it where a device needs a flat plate. Check your device’s fixing pattern against the bracket drawing before you order.

Finish & standards
Powder-coated Safety Yellow suits public-realm, school-zone and car-park installs where high-visibility hazard marking is part of the spec. Hot-dip galvanised to AS/NZS 4680 suits industrial, coastal and exposed sites where corrosion resistance and low maintenance matter most. Welding is to AS/NZS 1554.1. For a fuller comparison of coatings, read galvanised vs powder coat.
What’s included
You receive one horizontal mounting bracket in the finish you select. The pole, the 300×300mm plate bracket and any equipment fixings are separate. Match the pole finish to the bracket finish so the whole assembly weathers evenly.
Lead time & delivery
Both finishes are listed in stock and dispatch once picked and packed from our Wetherill Park, NSW facility. We deliver Australia-wide, and freight is quoted live in the cart from your address and the item’s real size and weight. Free collection from the Wetherill Park yard is also available. See shipping.
Installation notes
- Add up the weight and wind area of everything on the arm before you choose the pole. An offset load puts more bending on the pole and base than the same device mounted flush.
- Check that the bolt pattern of your device matches the bracket or the 300×300mm plate before ordering.
- Tighten fixings to the device manufacturer’s instructions and re-check them after the first service visit.
- For offset or multi-device assemblies, have an engineer confirm the pole, footing and anchors for your site’s wind region.
NWI Fabrication, the Aegis parent business, has supplied structural equipment mounting poles for projects such as East Rockingham Waste to Energy.
FAQs
Will it fit a pole from another supplier?
It is designed around Aegis mounting poles. For another pole, send us its section and plate details and we will check the fit.
Where do devices fix to the arm?
Along the 700 mm face, either side of the pole. Ask for the bracket drawing to check hole positions against your device before you order.
Which finish should I choose?
Choose powder-coated safety yellow where visibility is part of the spec. Choose hot-dip galvanised for industrial, coastal or exposed sites.
How much can the arm carry?
Suitability is confirmed per device. Send us the device weights and dimensions and we will check the arm and the pole for your set-up.
