The Stainless Steel Waste Segregation Table is a fabricated sorting station for commercial kitchens, food courts, hospitals, schools and back-of-house waste areas. Up to four colour-coded bins sit beneath an angled drop-through top. Each waste stream stays visibly separate at the moment of disposal, which is where clean separation either happens or fails.

What it’s for

Staff scrape plates, empty trays and sort packaging into the right bin at a comfortable working height. This matters most for food organics. Under the NSW FOGO mandate, the largest food-waste generators need a source-separated food organics collection, and contaminated organics can be downgraded or rejected. Our FOGO back-of-house guide covers the thresholds and dates.

Finish & standards

The table is 304 stainless with a satin-brushed finish. It wipes down quickly and resists corrosion from acidic food waste and cleaning chemicals. Welds are pickled and passivated to ASTM A380, so they stay as clean as the parent sheet and leave no crevices for bacteria. The article waste segregation that holds up explains why we build these benches in stainless.

What’s included

You receive one stainless steel segregation table with levelling feet. The following are ordered separately:

  • the 60L black sorting bins that drop into the pockets (most installs use four)
  • the castor kit, if you want to convert the table into a mobile station for events and venues

Lead time & delivery

The standard table is listed in stock and dispatches once picked and packed from Wetherill Park, NSW. At 3000mm long it travels as palletised forklift freight, strapped and secured for the road. If there is no forklift at your address, tick the tail-lift option in the cart. Freight is quoted live before you pay. See shipping. Tables built to your own bin sizes, cut-outs or layout are made to order and quoted separately.

Installation notes

  • Use the levelling feet to set the table level on uneven concrete, so the bins sit square in their pockets.
  • Label each opening to match your collection streams.
  • Leave clear access in front so staff can lift bins out.
  • Clean with non-chloride stainless cleaners where possible, and rinse off chemical residue to keep the finish bright.

NWI Fabrication, the Aegis parent business, has built lightweight portable G304 stainless waste sorting tables for Consolidated Property Services.
